What buyers need to know
What stands behind the numbers on this site.
Sixty-five buyer guides, a glossary and two reference tables — written by the people who run the sourcing work, not by a content agency. This page says how, and what to do when we get something wrong.
Who writes this
The guides are written by the SEAMDANCE sourcing and development team in Xiamen — the same people who read tech packs, sit through lab-dip approvals and handle inspection reports. There is no separate content department and no outside agency. We do not publish under invented expert names: where a guide reflects team practice rather than an individual’s credential, it says so.
What we cite, and what we do not
Regulation, tariff, testing-standard and compliance guides carry a Sources section linking the primary text — the eCFR, EUR-Lex, ECHA, OEHHA, the USITC tariff, the standards bodies. Guides that describe our own working practice do not carry citations, because the source is the practice itself; those state plainly that they are experience rather than published standard.
Read the guide libraryDates, and why they matter here
Tariff rates, restricted-substance limits and compliance deadlines all expire. Pages that depend on them carry the date the information was checked, and point at the official lookup rather than freezing a number in place. If a page has no as-of date, it is because nothing on it is time-sensitive — not because we forgot.
Numbers about our own business
Only a short list of figures is stated as fact about SEAMDANCE: founded 2018, MOQ from 100 pieces on stock styles and 300–500 per style for custom development, quotations within 24 hours, stock samples in 3–4 days, custom first samples in about 7 days, and final inspection to AQL 2.5. Anything else you read as a number on this site is either industry-standard knowledge or an explicitly sourced figure.
Certifications are never ours
OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GRS, BSCI and ISO certificates belong to the partner facility that holds them, for a specific scope and a specific validity period. SEAMDANCE holds none of them and never presents them as its own. Before an order is placed we check the holder, the scope and the expiry against what that order actually requires.
How partners are verifiedWhen we are wrong
Sourcing information goes stale and writers make mistakes. If something here is wrong, out of date, or reads as more certain than the evidence supports, write to [email protected] with the page and the problem. Corrections to factual errors are made to the page itself, not buried in a footnote, and we will tell you what changed.
