Ride-up is the single most common failure in this category, and it is a pattern problem before it is a fabric problem. We specify the inner short's length differential against the skirt hem, leg-opening circumference, and whether the hem holds with silicone grip, a wider band or simply a longer inseam. Ball pockets — side seam, waistband or thigh — are decided here too, because a pocket that gapes when loaded is worse than no pocket.
Waistband hold through a serve
Court movement loads a waistband differently from a studio class: rotation, overhead extension and repeated lunges in the same session. Options run from double-layer self-fabric for softness, to encased elastic for hold, to a contoured yoke that stops the band riding at the back. Band behavior is filmed at fit review — serve motion, split step and forward lunge — so comments come back as pattern instructions rather than adjectives.

Sets have to match across two fabric bases
A skirt set pairs a woven-feel skirt shell with a knit top or built-in bra, often on different bases. Those bases take dye differently, so color is approved together under agreed lighting rather than piece by piece — otherwise the set reads as two garments that happen to be near each other.

What we need before we can quote
A category, a rough quantity per style and a launch date are enough to get a number back within 24 hours. Tech pack, fabric specification or a reference sample shorten the process if you have them. If you have none of it, that is a normal starting point rather than a problem — a reference garment and a target price is where most first collections begin.

Both are standard options. Inner short length, leg-opening fit and grip method are specified per style, and pockets can sit in the side seam, the waistband or the thigh — each has a different effect on how the short behaves when loaded with a ball.
