Tennis is the part of an activewear range where the hidden layer does the work: the shorts inside a skirt, the pocket that has to hold a ball without gaping, and a white that must not turn see-through. This page sets out what tennis-wear makers with production in China publish about themselves, in their own words, read on 2 October 2026 — and where their own pages disagree. It is not a ranking, and it makes no claim about who is best.

The short answer

  • SEAMDANCE publishes this page and appears in its first row. SEAMDANCE is an activewear manufacturer in Xiamen, China: tees, shorts and sports bras for a tennis range can be made in its own factory, and tennis skirts, skorts, dresses and polos are part of its one-stop service.
  • Of the eight mid-size makers below, five are in Humen town, Dongguan. Most publish skirts with built-in shorts and a minimum of about 100 pieces per style, but three publish different minimums on different pages.
  • No company showed a certificate or audit number in its page text, so none of the certificate claims could be checked in a public database.

What was checked, and how

Each company was included because its own English website shows tennis wear — skirts, skorts, dresses or polos — and because it states production in mainland China. Every figure in the tables is the company's own wording, from the page cited next to it, read on 2 October 2026. Where two pages of the same company disagree, both figures are shown.

Certificates were treated as claims until a number made them checkable. A public database can only confirm what a page lets you look up, and none of these pages printed a certificate, label or audit number in its text.

SEAMDANCE is the publisher and its row comes first, held to the same standard: only what its own pages state. SEAMDANCE's partner factories, and companies connected to it, are not listed.

The companies, in their own words

Read the right-hand columns as much as the left: what a supplier does not publish is often the first thing to ask for in writing.

Tennis construction, side by side

The construction details a tennis buyer cares about most — the liner short, the pocket and the fabric — are published unevenly. Minimums and lead times are the supplier's own figures and should be confirmed on the quotation.

What a tennis skirt adds to production

A tennis skirt is two garments sewn as one. The inner short decides whether the skirt works on court: its inseam, its leg opening, and what holds the hem down — a silicone grip, a wider band or simply a longer leg. A ball pocket adds a load to that short; placed at the side seam, waistband or thigh, it has to hold a ball through a serve without dragging the leg opening. These are pattern decisions, so they belong in the tech pack, not in a comment on the first sample.

Polos and dresses bring different equipment and skills from leggings: collars and plackets for polos, built-in shelf bras or shorts for dresses. A maker strong in leggings may publish skorts and still subcontract polos; it is worth asking which items are sewn on its own floor.

UPF claims and what stands behind them

Only one company here, BeRun, publishes a sun-protection figure — "UPF 30+ and UPF 50+ certified options" — without naming the test [5]. A UPF number means something only next to its method. In the United States, labels use AATCC TM183 for the measurement together with ASTM D6544 and ASTM D6603 [27][28]; AS/NZS 4399 classifies fabric in UPF levels of 15, 30, 50 or 50+ [29]; the European method is EN 13758-1, and garments marked under EN 13758-2 carry "UPF 40+" [30][31].

Ask for the test report, the laboratory and whether the fabric was tested new and unstretched — then decide which market's label you need. The same applies to "moisture-wicking", which has its own test, AATCC TM195 [32], and to bright colours worn in summer heat, where colour fastness to perspiration is tested under ISO 105-E04 [33].

White, logos and club rules

Many clubs still ask for white, and the strictest version is Wimbledon's: "players at Wimbledon must be dressed almost entirely in white", including the warm-up, with limits on the size and number of manufacturer's identifications on each garment [34]. White is also where opacity fails. If a range will be sold to club players, test the palest colourway for see-through under backlight before bulk, and keep logo sizes inside the rule you are designing for.

Pickleball, padel and the large brands

Court sports beyond tennis are pulling the same constructions into new ranges. The Sports & Fitness Industry Association reports that 24.3 million Americans played pickleball in 2025, up from 4.2 million in 2020 [35], and one of the makers above, Yoyoung, already lists tennis, golf and badminton clothing together [22].

Large Chinese sportswear brands are moving the same way. Li Ning's interim results for the six months to 30 June 2026 name tennis and pickleball as emerging tracks, describe tennis apparel launched with Zhang Shuai, and report a supply-chain base under construction in Guangxi [36]. Li Ning is a brand, not a supplier that publishes private-label terms, so it is not in the tables.

Quick answers

How was this list of tennis wear manufacturers put together?

Each company has an English website that shows tennis skirts, skorts, dresses or polos and states production in mainland China. Every figure is the company's own wording, read on 2 October 2026, with conflicting figures shown side by side. SEAMDANCE publishes the page and appears first under the same standard. It is not a ranking.

What minimum order do tennis wear makers in China publish?

Most of the mid-size makers here publish about 100 pieces per style, sometimes per colour; AOLAFREE also states 150 and 300. Three companies publish different minimums on different pages, so confirm the figure on the quotation.

What should the built-in shorts in a tennis skirt specify?

The inseam, the leg-opening measurement, what holds the hem (silicone grip, a wider band or a longer leg) and the fabric. If the shorts carry a ball pocket, specify its position and test it loaded with a ball. Put these in the tech pack before sampling.

Can I trust a UPF 50+ claim on a tennis fabric?

Only with a test report that names the method and the laboratory: AATCC TM183 with ASTM D6544 and D6603 for the US, AS/NZS 4399 for Australia and New Zealand, or EN 13758 in Europe. Of the companies here, only one publishes a UPF figure, and it names no test.

Do tennis clothes have to be white?

Only where a club or event requires it. Wimbledon's rule is the strictest: players must be dressed almost entirely in white, including the warm-up, with limits on manufacturer identification. White is also the colour most likely to turn see-through, so test it under backlight before bulk.

Where are tennis wear factories in China concentrated?

Of the eight mid-size makers on this page, five are in Humen town in Dongguan, Guangdong, and a sixth names a facility in Dongguan; the others are in Shenzhen and Jiangyin. A Taiwan-headquartered group lists a site in Kunshan, Jiangsu.

Is a "BSCI certified" tennis wear supplier audited?

amfori BSCI is an audit-based verification rather than a certification, so ask for the latest audit report, its date and its rating for the site that will make your order. None of the BSCI claims on this page showed an audit reference.

Are pickleball and padel clothes made in the same factories as tennis wear?

Often yes: the skorts, polos and dresses are close constructions, and one maker here lists tennis, golf and badminton clothing together. Ask which items are sewn on the supplier's own floor and which are subcontracted.
